You've invested a great deal of time, money and effort in your business. To reach your target customers, you need marketing copy that reflects the high quality of your products and services.
In the course of my two decades in the translation business, clients have increasingly turned to me for help with projects that require excellent copywriting skills in English as well as a thorough understanding of the Swedish, Norwegian or German source material.
Such projects include press releases, web copy, brochures and sales letters. By delivering ready-to-publish English copy that reads like a piece of original writing, I save you the trouble and expense of hiring a copywriter to polish the English translations of your marketing material prior to publication.
Let me find the right words for you.
Corporate and marketing communications
If you have corporate and marketing communications that work well in Swedish, Norwegian or German, I can create translations that are equally effective in English-speaking markets. I’ll work with you to convey your message to the target audience in an elegant, idiomatic, culturally sensitive way.
Translating tourist information requires particular skill in tailoring the information to the target audience. While German readers might readily understand a reference to “das Buddenbrookhaus” in a brochure about the city of Lübeck, English-speaking readers probably need an explanation: “the house that inspired the fictional family home in Thomas Mann’s novel Buddenbrooks.”
Like tourist material, public information needs to be translated with the target readership firmly in mind. Often this will be citizens whose first language is not English, so it’s important to keep the style simple without diluting the message. Areas in which I have helped government agencies and NGOs communicate important information in English include economic development, public health and sex education.
